Commercials are one of the most condensed forms of storytelling. Coming in short bursts, spots require high impact visuals and audio designed to implant in the viewer the want and need for the product or service being offered. Sometimes subtle, sometimes blatant, spots are their own art form. From price point driven retail to subtle philosophical messaging, your spots must deliver the goods. We have the sensibility and experience to carve up the assets and bring forth the essence of your message.

Music artists use a variety of vehicles to get their brand out to the fans. Music is the mainstay and fans want to know who is behind it. Telling the backstory and ongoing journey gives the artist an additional way to communicate and bond with their audience. With all of the different methods, we bring the artist's personality and character to the screen.

From start to finish, the tale is most important. Reality programming has one set of aspects while a drama is completely different, of course. Understanding well the particular narrative is necessary in establishing the style and tone which brings the story to life. We like to work closely with clients early in the process. Forethought and preproduction can help with the budget as well as efficiency in the shoot and editorial process.

A web presence is required for all enterprises and endeavors. Your brand and messaging on the web is often the first and only contact which a potential customer has with you. It must be clean and concise. The majority of web searchers prefer to see a video rather than read about your product. As importantly, most viewers will move on to the next opportunity after only 17 seconds if the message does not resonate. Be certain that your story stands out.

Rock Creative is an outlet for storytellers. From collaborating, to developing original ideas, to ensuring technically accurate final deliveries, our team is here as your partner from beginning to end. We have the tools and the know-how to fully realize your creative vision.
Rock Creative has roots in the film and broadcast industry that stretch back well before the company was founded in 1999. After operating a premier post-production company on Music Row in Nashville for two decades, our founding partners decided to establish a new concept that focuses on the craft more so than the business. Rock Creative aims to provide a rich combination of professional experience coupled with passionate talent for any project of any size for anyone.

With help from his friends at Rock, Jamie brings projects to fruition, on time and on budget. “It is the story which is ultimately important. So much depends on the planning and execution of the shoot. That’s why we like to get as involved in the pre-pro as early as we can. Now that we have added production capabilities to our offerings, we can really strategize with the client. Adding value and avoiding pitfalls, even before the shoot, is huge for a successful outcome. And that is what we strive to bring to the project.”
On a tactical level, Jamie gets involved with editing and motion graphics. He declares that by utilizing the various toolsets including Avid MC, Final Cut Pro and CC/After Effects, “these days, just about anything is possible given enough time and creativity. Clients bring the ideas and we help flesh them out, effectively and efficiently, and turn them into reality.”

Although Eddie doesn’t believe in titles, his all-around skill set would allow just about any title to work. Producer, director, editor, color grader and project manager are all functions that Eddie excels at when doing. “Being handed a project, taking it from start to finish and turning it into something that exceeds the client’s expectations, that’s enjoyable. Also, I enjoy the collaboration with the other editors. The people are what make Rock Creative Images.” Eddie states.
Eddie was drawn into this profession those many years ago by “the ability to express my creativity through the use of a visual medium.” Certainly, Eddie brings a measured eye, a keen ear and a current sensibility to all his work.

As a man who every day comes ready to work, Jeff deals with motion graphics, DVD and Blu-ray authoring, duplication and replication as well as asset and project management. Jeff handles much of the business specifics for clients. Client satisfaction is in his DNA.
Jeff has worked together with Jamie and Eddie since the early days of video post-production. From hoisting one inch reels and loading VTRs to now dropping files on the internet for delivery, he has participated in the technologically changing landscape. Yet, whatever happens from here on out, Jeff knows that telling the story clearly and being concerned with the client's level of satisfaction are paramount. At the end of the day, these points are what matters most to Jeff. “For the project to be finished, I feel like the client has to be glad they did the work here. If we have more work to do to get the client happy, that is what we do.”
systemologist
Known for his craft of asset wrangling and Video/Audio mastering for broadcast, Doug assures our clients that their product will be delivered and meet whatever specs are required by the receiving entity. Doug has worked with some of us for close to twenty five years. “It's great to work in an environment where everyone values themselves and their co-workers,” said Doug recently.
“Our business has gone from a capital intensive, very exclusive and technically demanding model, to a heavily democratized, multi-platform, multi-delivery, available anytime, on demand, want it cheap machine. Although anyone can enter for the cost of a computer and some rental software, using a cell phone for a camera, not everyone can navigate the minefield of delivery options and keep it between the ditches.”
“The cool thing about all of the options available is the ability to identify ways of doing things, and design a series of devices and workflows to deliver a story. That's what really matters - the story. Whether it's news, someone's passion, a dream or whatever, the story can be told with sound and picture and made available to folks who might find it of interest.” Enough said!
colorist
As a colorist, Brent takes images captured by the camera and makes them even better. He found his profession on a high school field trip to a film lab. “The film lab was a place I never even knew existed doing things with film that I never knew were even done. I was fascinated by the process.” Being part of the process and working with a close knit creative group are two reasons that Brent is glad to be here at Rock. “It gives me an outlet to practice the craft that I love,” said Brent.
video editor / photographer
Melissa handles a number of different aspects of her projects. She is a creative editor who uses AVID and Final Cut Pro as her tools. Color correction, video mastering, duplication, Photoshop, as well as photography and videography are in her repertoire. Melissa’s take on Rock is “it is a very welcoming atmosphere where everyone is open to suggestion and is willing to give a helping hand. All staff and clients seem happy to be here, no matter the project!”
“Taking photographs in an amateur setting sparked my interest early on. When I discovered I could manipulate photos using editing software to make images look more exciting and interesting, I wondered what else I could do with imagery and post-production. I attended school at the New England School of Communications and fell in love with all aspects of the video production industry.” Personally passionate about living a healthy and active lifestyle, Mel enjoys traveling, painting, cooking, and playing with her two dogs and cat.
creative editorial / graphic design
One of Brian’s earliest memories is laughing while excitedly pressing buttons inside a live production truck as a 4-year-old. No one else seemed to think it was funny, but he was not deterred. Since being old enough to work legally, he has accrued over 16 years of experience as an editor, compositor and graphic artist on projects ranging from music videos, reality shows, and corporate pieces as well as award-winning network productions and commercials.
He arrived at the Rock in 2006 excited to join a community of well-established talent. "In this day and age, too many projects exist on the island of a laptop in the hands of a single creative voice. That one voice might serve as the writer, the shooter, the editor and the audio mixer. One person is essentially doing every aspect of the production. Though this can be efficient and a proven method for the most talented among us, it still comes at a cost. The best projects are almost always collaborative. The refinement a team can bring to a final product is invaluable. As they say, 'a jack of all trades is rarely the master of any,' so I'll take a proven team of masters any day."

Emmett never met a client that he didn’t like. Especially when they rub his back. He keeps a watchful eye on the parking lot and is our resident security guard too. He never walks away from a good conversation, but he is pretty adamant that he has the last word. One day Emmett aspires to have a top trending YouTube cat video to show his feline brethren that he has truly made it.
